Thanks go to:

Bob Arceneaux, Gary Storm (and everyone at SEAL), John Girvin, John Pullicino, Kevin Tiernan, Peter Price, Roger J. Beaulieu, Srdan Kvrgic, Ed Pacheco, Philip Goddard, Henrik Andreasen, Chris Korhonen, Justin / TheCrow, Thom Ebersole, Ed Collins, Wouter van Straalen, Lennart Fridn and Mark Wilson.

For betatesting, comments, suggestions and being brave enough to put one of my beta programs on their systems! :))

Thanks to Chris Korhonen for starting (well, reusing ;) the old amigaguide version of these docs and Justin / TheCrow for the installer script I used as a basis for the current one.

Notes on bug reports

If you manage to find any bugs undocumented creatures in StartPanel or StartPanelPrefs then please make sure you give me as much detail on what goes wrong and when it happens. Mails containing little more than "it doesn't work" are likely to recieve a short reply, or a long one formed from short words. Ideally, you should include the following information when reporting an undocumented creature:

  • How much memory was available when the problem occured?
  • Which versions of muimaster.library, datatypes.library, picture.datatype do you have installed?
  • Which OS version are you using?
  • How do you start StartPanel (or StartPanelPrefs depending on which caused the problem?)
  • Describe, in as much detail as possible, what the problem was and what you were doing before it happened (within reason).
  • If you have either Enforcer or SnoopDOS, please attempt to replicate the problem with Enforcer and/or SnoopDOS running. Send the logs to me when you report the bug

If you have any comments, questions or problems concerning this site mail me at webmaster@worldfoundry.demon.co.uk
